Hello

Hello my name is Star're (star-rae). As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Holistic Therapist I am passionate about teaching holistic wellness in practical ways that make it easy to incorporate into your daily routine to support your healing journey and overall well-being (mind, body, and spirit). I specialize in collaborating with my clients to develop self-love, find a healthy work-life balance, manage stress,  and decrease symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD. I use somatic, mindfulness, sound, and energy healing practices combined with herbal and nutritional education to aid in the regulation of my client's nervous systems while helping them to release trauma from their bodies. My work is rooted in empowering my clients with the tools and resources that promote their self-healing and growth as I guide and encourage them along the way. 

More about me

The most common question that I get from family and friends is, “When is your next trip?”  because I love to travel. I live for it, and it is my favorite way to learn about other cultures. I lived in Oaxaca, Mexico, for about a year in 2015, and that is where I learned how to speak Spanish, it is also where I had my first spiritual awakening. I am a fur mommy to the most adorable, sweet, and kind (of course I'm biased)  shi-tzu named Lil’ Bit.  I am a tree-hugging, nature-loving, let’s go hiking for hours kind of girl, originally from Oakland, CA I guess you can say it's ingrained in me. Nature is my therapy in many ways it is how I ground my energy, decompress, and am reminded to embrace change, as all things are temporary. Aside from being Outside, I love cooking and exploring different combinations of cuisines and flavors, but do not ask me for a recipe, as I let my ancestors guide me every time! 

 

Therapeutic Modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
